"Dancespace is truly a family. My teachers I consider my friends and mentors, and the students I consider my little sisters. I learned what it means for dance to be an art form- something that is hard to teach. I learned discipline, how to work with others, and how to express myself through dance. I learned resilience and how to take criticisms, always being encouraged by my teachers and peers. Most of all, Dancespace created a home away from home, my safe place, and an outlet for whatever I was going through. The teachers helped me through anything and everything from learning a difficult combination in a dance to learning how to deal with a difficult problem in life. Dancespace holds a special place in my heart and has truly shaped who I am today."
