PERFORMANCE COMPANY PURPOSE:

We pride ourselves in providing our dancers with the tools needed to succeed in the competitive world of dance. The Dancespace Performance Company was developed to create a positive environment where dancers can grow as performers, as well as increase their self-esteem, self-discipline, and pride in their accomplishments. Our dancers will improve their dance technique and become more precise in their movement quality. They will become more enthusiastic about cultivating their craft, and most importantly, they will gain the skills necessary to become responsible team members. At Dancespace, we value the process, not just the award at the end. We encourage our dancers to appreciate all accomplishments, no matter how small.

COMMITMENT
 

Participation in the Dancespace Performance Company does take commitment. No matter how great the natural talent of a dancer may be, rehearsal and time in the studio is imperative to success. Performance Company members will attend *at least* three, local competitions each season. Other performances, including our February showcase, are required as well. We ask that all dancers and parents review and sign a Performance Company agreement upon invitation to the team.

 

HOW DO I JOIN?
 

At Dancespace, we believe it is crucial to consider each potential member of our Performance Company as an individual when building our team. We want each dancer to be placed in the best position for their own growth. In addition to the Performance Company auditions held in our studio, we would like to speak with you individually about your child's goals and their background in the art of dance.
